This is southern style cole slaw, not the denatured tasteless cabbage salad made in the north. I learned about this stuff when I lived in Memphis. Best served with BBQ ribs.

Ingredients
1 head cabbage
1 medium carrot, grated
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tbl red wine vinegar
1 tbl lemon juice
1/2 tbl Dijon mustard
2 tbl minced onion
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp celery seed

Directions
  1. Toss everything but the cabbage and the carrot into a blender. Make a smooth sauce.

  2. Chop the cabbage into small pieces, grate the carrot.

  3. Put the cabbage and carrot into a large salad bowl. Pour on the dressing. Toss.

  4. Refrigerate at least two hours before serving.
