Chocolate and Angel Food Cake

My family recipe for a unusual cake.

Ingredients
8 eggs
24oz Chocolate chips
4 tbl sugar
1 pint Whipping cream (the real stuff, no fakes or substitutes)
2 large Angel food cake


Directions
  1. Seperate eggs

  2. Beat yolks, save in seperate bowl

  3. Beat egg whites until stiff. Slowly add sugar.

  4. Whip cream in bowl.

  5. Melt chocolate cips in double boiler or very carefully melt in microwave.

  6. Add yolks to chocolate and beat

  7. Add whites to chocolate and beat

  8. Add chocolate / egg mixture to whipped cream slowly while beating.

  9. Tear one angle food cake into 1" pieces and drop into 9" x 12" pan

  10. Pour half chocolate cream mixture over the cake

  11. Tear second angle food cake into 1" pieces and drop into 9" x 12" pan

  12. Pour remaining half chocolate cream mixture over the cake

  13. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours

Serve chilled.
